How did a month just go by?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have been reading. I have been writing most weekday mornings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As far as blog posts go, January was sucked up trying to read, understand, and process I Sexually Identify as an Attack Helicopter<\/em>. I keep reading it and re-reading it and the commentary said about it and I’m trying to understand. I suspect it is a good learning vector for me as I continue to try to grok gender-fluidity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I rediscovered an old webcomic favorite: Sinfest.net. The strip has challenged me on a lot of issue regarding masculinity and gender stereotypes, good, evil, God, gods, etc. It’s definitely NSFW. I’m glad it’s been going for twenty years now with incredible regularity. I’ve been dipping through the archives and it highlighted one of my challenges with the gender-fluid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All too often it seems people promoting gender-fluidity (or genderqueer or non-binary or any other terminology out there) seem to start from the idea that the two-gender model is a prison and people are deluded for believing it. A little fallacious generalization of one persons subjective truth for objective truth and suddenly I’m the prisoner too stupid to see the bars around myself, and essentialism dictates that I am therefore stupid and worthless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nobody likes being called stupid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Nobody like being called a prisoner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Anyway, January slipped through the cracks. I almost have a story written. I think I have it outlined enough, I just need to flesh out the dialog and put in some blocking and actions and scenery and whatnot.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" How did that happen?
