Home Sweet Home

We’ve moved. Through luck and fortune we have purchased a house! This was our natural reaction.

A set of keys and the feet of two people who have fainted
Fainting at the very thought of it

This is our virtual house tour, and probably the last time you can see it decluttered. The condo is three stories, with three bedrooms (we finally get our own offices!) and two and a half bathrooms. The entire third floor is an open loft but bifurcated by the stairwell, so we even get his-and-her playrooms.

The House.

Coming into the house you are greeted by a off-kilter coat closet and a brief glimpse of the gas heater.

Entering the house. Open door and a coat closet. It get’s better.

The main room has some built-in bookcases, a gas heater, and a small kitchen.

Modern great room

The kitchen is a bit small, but the walk-in pantry to the side means we don’t have to store food on the counters any more!

Even our food gets a room of its own

But wait! We passed the stairwell which is across from the coat closet. Keen eyes may notice the stairwell splits at the top.

Going up!

Up and to the right is the Owner’s Suite. This room is much larger than we are used to.

Fans are cool
Soaking tub with a view

The bathroom has a soaking tub, dual vanities (the secret to a happy marriage), a walk in shower, and (for some reason next to the toilet) …

Even our clothes get their own room!

The walk-in closet. I think in NYC as is this could net someone a cool million. As is.

The other side of the stairwell leads to the landing (or mezzanine, we’re not sure what to call it but believe you me that wall is going to be COVERED in books). The double doors are the washer and dryer, with a hint of linen closet to the left.

Future Library Space part 1

Stephanie’s office.

And Josh’s office.

Past the offices is another bathroom and oh look another set of stairs.

Heading up the stairs we are greeted with more windows.

This is the loft. The split playroom. The “damn that’s a lot of steps” room. Stephanie’s side:

And a little seating area:

And finally, Josh’s playroom.

Of course now that we’ve been here for a few days the place looks like the inside of a U-Haul Van that got caught in a tornado as it plummeted off a cliff. The décor is cardboard for the time being, but we’ll get things unpacked. Hopefully before the pandemic ends.
